As part of our ongoing contract with the Dorset Peat Partnership, we recently helped restore a delicate mire habitat. A mire is a waterlogged wetland, like a bog or fen, where plants grow in soggy conditions, creating peat that supports unique wildlife and helps store carbon.
It’s not your everyday task – this type of work requires a steady hand, a keen eye, and the right tools. Thankfully, we have all three. Our team of in-house trained operators used specialist machinery we designed ourselves based on years of experience. These bespoke machines let us tackle challenges like soft ground and waterlogged conditions without compromising the environment.
From managing watercourses to carefully rebuilding habitats, every step was planned and executed with precision.
